My name is Ola Ogunjobi, and Sports Nexus 365 was born from personal experience.

Like many aspiring student-athletes growing up outside the United States, I believed the only way to earn a sports scholarship was through an agency. The pathway seemed closed off unless you were willing — and able — to pay thousands of pounds or dollars in fees.

I attended showcase events, played in trial matches, and had my performances recorded, with the intention of them being shared with coaches in the United States. I performed well at these showcases and generated genuine interest, but when the time came to formally join the agencies, the costs were simply too high for my family to afford.

Those moments forced me to think differently.

I realised that the agencies were essentially packaging and distributing information about athletes to coaches — highlight videos, academic details, playing experience, and contact information. So instead of giving up on the opportunity, I decided to take ownership of the process myself.

I began recording my own matches and creating my own highlight videos. I researched NCAA Division I football (soccer) programs and manually sourced the email addresses of coaches across the United States. In total, I sent well over 400 emails.

It was not easy. It required persistence, patience, and belief. But eventually, the traction came. Conversations turned into opportunities, and ultimately, I earned a football (soccer) scholarship to study and compete in the United States — without paying a penny to an agency. That opportunity changed my life.

Recognising that the recruitment journey can be complex, time-consuming, and often expensive, I wanted to create a better way. Sports Nexus 365 was built to simplify the process.
